It seems wherever you turn you will see ads. They proudly claim that people can make huge profits from using Adwords to sell their products and what is more they only have to work 2-3 hours a day! The ads proclaim that this is easy to do and what is more anyone, including you can do it. What they fail to tell you is the fact that working just 2-3 hours a day is not the norm. In fact few people can perfect this type of regime. There are just too many things to take care of, especially if you are new to the game. In fact no other promotion requires as much micro-management as an Adwords campaign. Consider this. Initially you will find popular keywords when you use Google's databse of keywords. By using the keywords that you might use for searching for your product you will get together a second list of keywords. lastly you will compare these keywords to Google's. After you have assembled all the keywords, you then have to decide how much to bid on each one of them. Of course you will not be emailing Google with your bid, you will be considering paying for good positions. The higher the bid the better position you ad will be in. Google actually places ads according to the highest bidder. These favorable positions will draw the most traffic. This allows Google and the advertiser to earn more. Remember that Adwords is strictly a pay per click advertising system. You will pay them for every click you receive for your ad; this does not take into consideration the amount of sales you make. Google makes better profits when there are a lot of clicks for an ad. The highest bidder will gain the most exposure. After you have finished the bidding procedure and you ad is functioning, pay special attention to your keywords. Remember that keyword popularity can come and go. What is popular today may not be popular a month or so from now. Keywords that are unpopular will not bring in the traffic and sales. Let's face it you will not make 100's a day just spending little or no time on your Google campaign. However on the other hand you will become a master at micro-management and multi tasking. When you perfect these skills you stand a good chance of joining the elite few who have made their businesses boom with this type of promotion. So take advantage of all the great tutorials and tools that Google Adwords provides and you will soon become an expert in micromanagement. Once you do this you will be able to spend less time on your campaigns and more time on making a success of your business.
